Managing key customers across the Convenience and Discount Channels, driving profitability and ensuring they receive the service they would expect from the world’s largest dairy business. Reporting to the Senior National Account Manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Drive profitability and volume within allocated set of customers through relationship building, presence and passion for our products
- Monitor customer performance against key objectives, by conducting analysis and making recommendations for action as and when necessary
- Manage budget for area of responsibility, including Trade Spend to develop new business
- Assist the SNAM in developing plans to achieve strategic objectives for allocated accounts
- Produce reports as needed, including but not limited to, any weekly significant increases or decreases in sales or distribution on any line, assisting in the implementation of action plans for corrective action
- Ensure that regular store audits are undertaken to identify market trends
- Work with the Category team, to develop rationales to present customers with recommendations on how to drive performance in their business
- Responsible for effective and efficient operational performance of all aspects of allocated customers on a day-to-day basis, for example product forecasting and promotional planning.
- Support customer projects within the business to develop both branded and Retailer Own Brand propositions
Essential Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Experience in food or retail FMCG would be a bonus
- Commercial mindset with the proven ability to influence others
- Ability to utilise and evaluate market data to build business arguments (Kantar, IRI, Neilson)
- Ability to find solutions to meet financial targets
- Proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships and interact effectively with people at different levels, both verbally and in writing
